HRI will be at the CIMVHR (Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research) Forum in Toronto November 24, 2014. Dr. Cameron will be participating in a Knowledge Translation Session at 9:00 am entitled Translating Military Members’ Concerns Regarding the Onset and Maintenance of PTSD to a Novel Research Agenda. Along with HRI, this session is being sponsored by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University and St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. He will be joined by Dr. Nick Kates, Colonel Rakesh Jetly, Dr. Ruth Lanius, Dr. Margaret McKinnon and Dr. Dave Musson.
The Issues of Substance Abuse Conference is Canada’s only national conference that brings together addictions workers, healthcare professionals, researchers, policy makers and knowledge brokers from across the country. This premier learning event provides an opportunity for HRI to showcase its work including presentations on: Using Client Perception of Care in a Quality Improvement Context (OPOC), Understanding the Meaning of Recovery, and Outcome Monitoring for Substance Use Services. The conference is delivered in partnership by the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse and Mise sur toi.
