Alyna Walji obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies, specializing in Health Informatics from the University of Waterloo. Through co-op and volunteering, she gained experienced working in public health for two municipal governments. She began working with HRI as a co-op student and her most recent work with HRI involved the development of an interactive data visualization tool to explore research outcomes. Alyna currently works with HRI on The Recovery Journey Project, as well as with the Peter Boris Centre for Addictions Research on the AA MOBC study. Her research interests include mental health and addiction, outcomes evaluation and informatics. Alyna was the first ever recipient of HRI’s Darlene Walton Award.
